Brancephalus. Digital photo collage, pigmented ink print

I tracked down a handful of survivors of the Croatian genocide in the 1990's. I collected cell samples from them and photographed the samples with the help of a microscope. The final image is a collage of these cells, arranged in such a way that they become ambiguous forms that can equally belong to a micro or macro world.
In scientific photography, these kinds of images represent pathogens.
